Our company

Azienda Agricola La Rota is situated in the Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) wine area of Lison Pramaggiore, in the easternmost part of the Veneto region, on the border with Friuli Venezia Giulia, where vines have been cultivated since Roman times. The area is flat, and alluvial sediments deposited over the centuries have created a soil rich in limestone clay with layers of calcium carbonate, making it ideal for the production of wines with intense aromas. The winery is run by the brothers Michele and Sergio Pigafetta, who descend from the family in which the famous explorer Antonio Pigafetta was born. It produces high-quality wines that respect traditional values and the environment, exclusively from grapes grown in its own vineyard.
